A school run by volunteers at Torikatu 17, Joensuu. Topics included Finnish language, English, culture, job search and taxation.

The opening ceremony took place on 19 April 2022 at 17.00 and the first semester run from 25 April to 3 June 2022.

During the summer Hanés School operated in the premises of the Joensuu Orthodox parish. From 7.6. to 5.8. we had about 70 Ukrainians studying Finnish language. Towards the end of summer the number of students decreased, as many students had a seasonal employment.

Many thanks to the compassionate parish staff, all the volunteering teachers and students, and all others who helped with the arrangements! The autumn term will start again in August!
