Ilomantsin Auto Oy and Atso Eronen donated a bus to Ukraine. A team of four volunteers was gathered by HanePeace Ukraine to drive the bus from Joensuu to Lviv.
The bus was loaded with relief supplies that were donated to the Ukrainians. The bus will used as a field hospital and to transport victims of the war to Western Ukraine for treatment.
Presenter: A bus with humanitarian aid has arrived from Finland to Lviv. They brought generators, ovens, warm clothes, and medicines. All these items will be sent to the front line soon, while the bus itself is going to be used by Lviv Medical Clinic Center of the Western region to transport injured soldiers.
Reporter (video part): A huge bus carrying 5 tons of humanitarian aid has already arrived to Ukraine. Volunteers brough 5 generators, 4 wheelchairs, medicines, food, winter clothes, boots, sleeping bags and tents.
Rostyslav Dobosh (Lviv Regional Council member): This bus was donated by our Finnish friends with the support of the Ukrainian diaspora and especially ‘Plast’ organization, the organization established at the hospital will have a possibility to bring our guys where they need to be.
Reporter: Humanitarian aid is being placed at warehouse and then will be forwarded to the frontline. The bus will stay at Lviv Medical Clinic Center of the Western region.
Volodymyr Knygynytskyi (the Director of Lviv Medical Clinic Center of the Western region): It (the bus) will be used for transporting injured soldiers to the places of further treatment and also for different other activties for them like excursions – at the rehabilitation stage for those injured soldiers who have almost recovered and getting ready to depart to the frontline again.
